Charoensri of Thailand creates this pair of ceramic incense holders in the form of an elephant carrying a lotus flower, both important symbols in Thai culture. The lotus flower is often a symbol of enlightenment, and the elephant has long been celebrated for its longevity, endurance, and strength. The incense holders are glazed in blue with a crackled finish and have a small hole at the top for placing an incense stick. They can also be used with cone incense.
The artisan describes how she began her journey in ceramics: “I visited a friend’s ceramics factory and I observed each step in the process. Seeing my interest, my friend persuaded me to try this work. Immediately, I began learning from skilled artisans. Finally, I was ready to design my own ceramics.”

"Wonderful gift for elephant lover"
This was a gift for someone who s favorite animal is the elephant. She loved it! I was pleasantly surprised to find theyre larger in person than they appear in the photos.

"Beautiful green ceramic piece"

"Adorable - One for me and one to share!!!"
These are the cutest incense holders Ive seen. I had trouble deciding between the blue and the green--both are beautiful! The soft shade of green, like the color of celery, and the high gloss finish give them an understated elegance combined with a bit of whimsy. The small hole in the center of the lotus goes all the way down to the bottom of the sculpture, which really stabilizes the incense stick and prevents it from falling out. The lotus holders could be alternatively used to hold a sphere-shaped mineral specimen, if incense isnt your thing!

"Perfect little pair of Elephants!"
I immediately loved the color and look of these sea green elephant incense burners. I was happy to find they not only hold the cone incense but they also have a hole for stick incense in each! I just bought a simple white plate for each to sit on for the ashes. I LOVE them and they fit perfectly in my decor. I highly recommend these as gifts or for yourself.
