Blue celadon ceramic takes the shape of a lotus bud, the tapered shape richly carved using the gah sah lat technique. Kanda crafts a graceful covered candleholder with filigree cutouts. Made of ko or rokfa wood ashes enriched with oxides, the glazes distinguish these traditional Thai ceramics. When the kiln is opened, the change of temperature causes the piece to contract, giving it the distinctive crackled appearance of true celadon.

I ordered the celadon bowl with lid 'Divine Cloud'. The detail work is so beautiful. I was going to give it as a gift but ended up keeping it for myself.
Thank you, Kanda, for the beautiful celadon ceramic jar. You do beautiful work! I wish you the best in continuing your art work. Lynn Smolen
