Although this version is decorative, it is still hand carved from pine, hand painted and decorated with tufts of maguey fiber, like those created for ceremonial purposes. The finish is a traditional rustic wax.

This sculpture is one of three I purchased from Juan & Carolina. The open-armed Jesus is simply but beautifully carved. The purple flowers echo those on the St. Joseph sculpture, uniting all three in a celebratory Easter celebration. I also purchased the carved St. Joseph and the carved Corona Mary pieces. These pieces will be forever cherished.

This sculpture is one of three I purchased from Juan & Carolina. It is beautifully carved and is painted with cheerful flowers that bring the same joy our Mother Mary does. I also purchased the carved Jesus and carved Joseph pieces.
