This fun and spirited backpack handcrafted by Higinia Gonzalez is perfect for the carefree traveler or shopper. The straps and lively striped cotton fabric are handwoven on a backstrap loom with thread hand dyed by the Costa Rican artisan. Using all natural dyes, the artisan chooses a rich wine color for the background and lilac, royal blue, and off-white for the stripes. The backpack's roomy main compartment is lined in maroon cotton and cinches closed with a draw string secured by a balsa wood button and two lilac tassels. An exterior zippered pocket makes small items easily accessible.
