On her way to her groom's house, an Indian bride dressed in a beautiful gown of many colors rides a palanquin carried by her family members in a tradition known as Doli Kahar. Vidushini shares this view of Indian culture, painting the vibrant scene on handmade paper in the style of Madhubani folk art, which originated in the Mithila region.

The painting is of the highest quality, on lovely heavy paper. I am having it matted and framed, and cannot wait to hang it in our home. The deep red background and simple black and white foreground combine to make the painting elegant and beautiful. The concept itself, of Shiva and Parvati joined as one, is unmatched in beauty. To have it manifested with such skill will be appreciated every single day. Thank you so much for sharing this art with us.
