Working in handblown art glass, Molinari Family artisans create a charming crimson vase. The slender jar narrows at the neck, then flairs outward like ruffles. Inspired by the legendary work of Murano artisans in Italy, the Brazilian artists craft a modern heirloom with crystalline bubbles.

Because each piece is handmade, shape and size can vary slightly and tiny bubbles may appear within the glass. This exemplifies the hand-blown technique, making every piece a unique example of blown glass craftsmanship.

“Shouldn t have waited so long to buy…”

I don t normally leave reviews but have to make an exception in this case. This is a beautiful piece, substantial and well made. Nice to see there are still places where craftsmanship matters. I ve wanted to buy this for YEARS but worried my kids were too small to have a gorgeous piece of glass around. I needn t have worried, I wished I d bought it sooner.

Antonio Carlos and his brother, Paulo Molinari, learned the ancient hand-blown glass technique as apprentices of the Italian master, Aldo Bonora, who came to Brazil from Murano Island. After eight years, they opened their own workshop in 1962. Considered among the most brilliant and talented hand-blown glass makers in the country, they have trained a number of glass artisans and have formed masters that have worked with them for more than 30 years.

Job Creator

More than fifty years ago, Antonio Carlos and Paulo Molinari set up their workshop with a small group of artisans. Today they have trained many more artisans and family members, who all work with them.
