"I crafted this necklace to bless you with good health," declares Ila Suleyman. From his "Laafi" collection meaning "good health" in the Mamprusi language, the necklace is centered by a cow bone pendant escorted by terracotta and sese wood beads. Green beads recycled from plastic bottles and vinyl discs are diligently threaded by hand for a necklace that fastens with a brass hook.
As soon as this piece arrived my wife put it on and we both loved it. Simple yet bright, original yet not showy. Thank you so much to Ila for making such a special necklace!

this necklace was very good quality and good colors - the only reason i gave 4 stars was that i wish the bone bead was smaller - more in line with the size of the other beads

"My forefathers were predominantly millet and cattle farmers, and they would use the leather of the animals for accessories such as talismans, bangles and necklaces for personal use."
