For a nautical addition to your home or beach cottage, this amazing photograph by Ghana's Kati Torda is at once striking and distinct. Working in a style that she refers to as "beadscape," she arranges colorful beads of recycled glass within two boat shapes crafted of ebony wood, sailing over a blue sea printed on cotton canvas over wood. A brass Adinkra symbol in the top left corner displays the shape of Funtunefu Denkyemfunefu, which signifies democracy and unity. The artist takes a photo of the arrangement, printed on a signed plastic panel.
