Join the celebration of springtime with this attractive scarf by Una Gupta. A hand block printing method reveals intricate motifs of men, women and children singing of the joy of spring's new beginnings. Block printing dates back to the 12th century in India. Black and beige help this accessory blend well with many ensembles, and the softness will add a sense of luxury to your look.
For the past five or six years, it has been difficult for Una to focus on her fashion workshop. She has been caring for her mother, who is now in the advanced stages of Alzheimers and no longer recognizes her. Una must constantly watch her mother to ensure that she does not harm herself or others. In addition to the limitations it places on Una with her work, it is extremely painful for her to watch her mother disappear in front of her.
Una has a small workshop in the garage next to her home. She is able to employ sewers, a pattern maker and artisans who hand-finish, embroider and embellish her garments.
