"BRILLIANT COLOR"
I just received my second robe from this artist, the Batik rayon robe, Batik Blush. The colors are so vibrant! I LOVE her robes. So comfortable and extramely well made. They wash well and dry perfectly. Now Im looking for my third robe from this artist. Shes fantastic! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

"Gorgeous deep rose with some orange swirls in the batik pattern"
I have purchased this beautiful robe for myself and two of my friends. It s a work of art and I love being able to buy something so special that is handmade and so different than most robes. It s exquisite?? Perfect for warmer weather like in the summertime or in warmer areas like Arizona year round.

"My favorite sundress!"

"super nice dress"

"Very comfortable and light for summer"
This dress is lovely, I have two in different colours - each is a slightly different material and thickness. The sizing is large, I chose the smallest size (S) and it was a big on me, and Im usually a size S or M. I shrank it in the dryer.

From her, she learned not only the art of batik and textile design but also how to care for her workers. In her workshop, Desak and the older artisans generously teach their art to the younger artisans, preserving for another generation this UNESCO cultural treasure.

Desak Nyoman Parwati has received 3 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $2800 and the most recent for $4000. Proceeds were used to invest in the purchase of textiles and batik dyes to increase production in time for the holiday season.
