Batik Napkin Rings Floral Brown (Set of 6) from Indonesia, "Lombok Flowers in Brown"

Sasak Lombok Craft comprises a large group of women artisans from Indonesia who work from home in order to rise above economic hardship and provide a better standard of living for their families. These women craft this set of six napkin rings by hand, wrapping cotton and weaving ate grass fibers in the traditional Lombok style around bamboo stalks. The floral decorations on the napkin rings are achieved using the batik method, where the artisans apply a wax resist to the cotton fabric before submerging it in vats of dye.
