Details
According to ancient Maya, the Aj-pa-ya-la glyph refers to the leaders and the elite. The term was used to describe all who had the power to move people, the leaders of any group. The glyph is expertly replicated with batik techniques on cotton, which Grace Guirola dyes with natural indigo leaves harvested in her family's hacienda.
