Batik Cotton Shopping Tote Bags (Set of 3), "Jawadwipa Legacy"
Java's Wahyu Sulistiani puts together a set of three trendy totes that also fold and zip up, ideal to keep in the handbag. Working with batik techniques on cotton, Sulistiani selects the ancient Javanese Jawadwipa theme which includes the parang (dagger) in cream, red, yellow and blue. The second bag with a palette of maroon, black and brown hues is decorated with the sawunggaling, once favored by Javanese sultans for it represents the beauty and might of Javanese culture. The third bag features the Madura, after the island of the same name, and features floral motifs in shades of brown, purple and black.

"Sturdy; holds a lot"
My state no longer allows stores to give plastic bags. The reusable bags sold at the grocery were good for 2 or 3 uses before they ripped and had to be thrown out. Ive been using these for a couple years with no damage at all.

"Very useful"
I bought this set and broke it up to give to my visiting sister-in-law and two nieces. I needed a gift that would take up practically no room in their suitcases and wasnt fragile. These are so pretty! The batik patterns are lovely and its so convenient that they can be carrying in your purse when empty so you always have a carrying bag with you.

"Great market totes"
These are perfect bags to toss in your purse or car to take to the market as a tote bag. Beautiful batik fabric prints that zip down into a compact square. Unzipped they are the perfect small market tote bag for either a trip to the farmers market or the grocery store.
