Baby Alpaca Handwoven Plaid Wrap Scarf in Grey from Peru, "Silver Plaid"
This scarf will quickly become your go-to for cold winter days and crisp autumn nights. Working on a traditional loom, Wilder Yauri weaves it from baby alpaca wool with a plaid pattern in a smoky palette of brownish-grey and graphite. Baby alpaca refers to the fine fleece from the season's first shearing.
Wilder grew up watching his grandfather making blankets and was schooled in the art of weaving by his aunt, who was a master weaver. As a young man, he went to Lima to study textile engineering and returned to his hometown where he is now a master weaver himself and teaches at the local weaving school.

"Beautiful memory"
Purchased for my mother to wear at my father s funeral, during a snowfall. Wrapped her shoulders and used as scarf for her white hair. She was beautiful on a most difficult day. The Shaw was absolutely lovely.

"A beautiful warm scarf for picky wearer."
The unique colors and pattern of this scarf are very appealing. My husband loves wearing it: it looks great and keeps his neck warm when hes out on his bike.
