Precise and intricate, starbursts and fretwork form a path to the sky. Mario Chavez works on a traditional loom, transforming virgin wool into a masterpiece of Zapotec artistry. This dazzling rug takes it palette of yellow, reds, green, black and orange from natural dyes. The artisan names this design "Pasillo grecas tradicional IV" in Spanish.
Because each rug is individually woven, measurements could vary +/- 1 inch (3 cm).
