Deep shades of blue evoke the serene depths of Lake Atitlan. By women from Maya Traditions, this charming wall hanging is a working example of their traditional backstrap loom. The pinewood loom rods, shed rods and sword-beater are still in place. White motifs exemplify Guatemala's traditional jaspe technique, similar to ikat.
