Artisan Made Mexican 100% Cotton Table Runner, "Mexican Blush"
Add a splash of color to a dining or living room table with this hand woven table runner in a mixture of mauve and amethyst. Rosalina Arias, an artisan from Chiapas, Mexico, presents this 100% cotton runner where a backstrap loom is used to combine thread in the two different colors. One end of the loom on which the fabric is made is attached to a fixed structure such as a pole and the other is attached to the waist of the weaver by means of a strap which wraps around the individual's back; hence the name backstrap loom. As the cloth is being woven, a pre-Hispanic motif in onyx accented with small pops of buttercup yellow is inserted at the beginning, middle and end of the runner.

"Thank you for making this"
The table runner is beautiful. I have done some weaving, and can appreciate what goes in to making this. The color is as shown and there is the yellow design in the center of the runner as well. A nice surprise.

Honestly, I had my doubts about the colors or quality. However, this item and artist exceeded my expectations! Wonderful colors, weave and texture. NO disappointments. Oh - packaged so well.
