The tradition of carving khachqars, or stone crosss dates back to the 9th century reaching its peak during the 12th and 13th centuries. These centuries are often referred to as the "Golden Age" of khachqar carving. Reviving this ancient artform, brothers Ruben and Karen Ghazaryan, craft this magnificent sculpture where each detail has been expertly carved by hand from felsite stone.
