This marvelous aluminum statuette is created by Mexico's Sierra Family. Chivalrous to the end, the legendary Don Quixote stands ready for his next adventure. He holds a lance in one hand, while the other hand holds a book. The statuette is hand cast and stands atop a base of black marble. Don Quixote follows the saga of Don Quixote de la Mancha, a delusional nobleman who fancies himself a knight of yore. It is considered to be the first 'modern' novel, and many authors believe it to be the best literary work ever written.

“Lovely Little Green Apple”

This apple reminds me of Bobby Goldsboros song LIttle Green Apples. I did not know that onyx could be green. It is the perfect color for this sculpture. Right now it is my one and only paperweight. I think it might also make a wonderful kitchen decoration.
