Carved by hand, a long oval face bears the textures of bright brass repoussé. Abdul Raza takes his inspiration from masks worn during the Damba Festival, celebrated by chiefs and people of the Tamale and Wa tribes in northern Ghana. He names this design Gbewa, a Dagomba word meaning "Palace."
