Awudu Saaed expertly handcrafts a replica of mask of Gabon origin. Originally created by the Bakota people, the mask with a bird on its nose is used in special ceremonies to thanks the gods for their protection. Featuring an open mouth and closed eyes, the sese wood mask is adorned with colorful recycled glass beads, copper wires, an embossed brass plate and hand-painted details.
