A highly talented artist, Kola Ogunsunlade Joseph uses his keen eye to capture the beauty and poetry of ordinary street scenes which he then reinterprets. "I create art by bringing something out of nothing," says the Ghanaian artist. "A market woman wandering on the hot streets of Ibadan, in a bid to sell her wares to feed her hungry family. The woman looks tired, yet does not give up." Discarded metal plates and found objects are the main materials used. They are welded together with arc welding materials. Clear varnish is used for the finishing.
