By Ghanaian artist Cecilia Adedunmola Adeniran, this cotton wall hanging depicts a traditional African mask. Surrounded by leaf motifs, the mask is portrayed in an abstract style. This wall hanging is decorated using the batik method, where a wax resist is hand-painted onto the fabric before being dyed with different colors. The wall hanging is named Elerin, meaning "smiling" in Yoruba.

This is a breathtaking piece of artwork from Ghana. We have framed it under non-glare glass with a woodsy, inlaid-looking frame and it has a place of honor in our great room. Colors are vivid and true and the attention to detail is extraordinary. The eye is drawn to the beauty and mesmerizing content of the work. Cannot thank the artist enough for adding to our collection of African art. 5 stars.
