African Artisan Crafted Wood Fertility Doll from Ghana, "Ashanti Fertility Doll V"
Fertility dolls such as this one by Ghanaian artisan Emmanuel Opoku Asante were traditionally given to Ashanti women who were unable to conceive. The artisan carves the figure by hand from native sese wood and adds recycled glass bead jewelry.

"The Tiger is so powerful in appearance."
I really like this piece of art. He is ferocious and protective at the same time. I especially like animal masks. I have placed this beautiful mask in a position of honor on my mask wall. Kudos to the artist.
