Pausing for a moment on their hurried flight to Egypt, Mary comforts the Christ child as a weary Joseph leans on his staff. In an effort to wipe out all competition to his throne, Herod ordered the death of every child in Bethlehem under the age of two. To save the life of their baby, the Holy Family sought refuge in a foreign land. Jose Canil Ramos honors the Holy Family with these two pinewood sculptures, carved and painted by hand.
Joseph's hand and staff are disassembled for shipping.

"Perfect for my grandkids!"
I love how colorful the set is. I bought it so my grandchildren could move the characters around & I could teach them the nativity story. I know this will be a memory maker for them.
