Black Ghanaian Masks
Thank you Awudu Saeed You are truly a great artist and your work makes me feel good that my African Man is continuing with our cultural beauty....... Please I LOVE it! I want to see more of it!
During my senior year at the University of Illinois, I decided to take an easy course. I was getting burned out. So I signed up for an African Art History class. That class turned out to be my most difficult course and, after two weeks, and flunking a quiz, I found out it was an advanced course. I could have switched classes, but had already fallen in love with the cultures we studies. Most memorable was the Ashanti people. Years later, while in a store, I pointed to an object and said to my husband, "That's Ashanti." I hadn't yet confirmed my declaration. He picked it up, looked and was impressed that I could identify it as to which culture created it. I've been buying from Novica for years. This is one of my treasures. Beautifully detailed and constructed. I'm looking for another piece as well. Thanks, Abdul for your wonderful art!
The pieces arrived beautifully wrapped, however the true treasure was inside. The detail on each mask was awe-inspiring. You could tell that the artist took painstaking care into crafting each mask. I am in awe of such talent. The masks look beautiful on my wall. The insert containing information about the artist was a nice touch as well.
"What inspires me most is when people express appreciation for my designs."
