Growing up we had a smaller bread basket, and we knew to hurry and eat the bread before it got cold! However, this one has the beautiful warmer trivet in it which lets the bread stay warm for a good length of time. Will be cherished.
Beautifully crafted serving ware
This is my second time ordering from Tat Yan Soo, my first time being two sets of ceramic banana leaf bowls. I serve homemade food in the bowls and thought two banana leaf platters would compliment them very nicely. His work is unique and beautiful, and the first time I saw plates and bowls shaped like banana leaves all those years ago. I try my best to support fair trade artisans given the option and am greatly appreciative of Tat Yan Soos collection as well as NOVICAs website. Thank you.
The Perfect Gift!
I needed a gift for friends who are from India, where meals are traditionally served on banana leaves. This platter is just the thing for the dinners and events they host! It is beautifully crafted and unusual enough to go with the finest china - or with paper plates!
