Cotton shawl, 'Amethyst Country Garden'
By Ruth Henriquez
I love this shawl.
This is a beautifully made shawl. As a floor-loom weaver, I appreciate hand-made textiles, and this piece was clearly woven by an accomplished fiber artist. The weave is firm enough to make a sturdy fabric, but it also has a lovely drape. The colors are gorgeous. And, even though its cotton, its heavy enough to keep me warm here in Northern Minnesota in winter. This is a piece that I will have for a very long time and which will age well. Thank you Elena Ixtamer!

Makes me happy
Just looking at this shawl makes me happy! The colors are vibrant, and it feels great against the skin. It is large enough to wear as a shawl, but not too large that it can t be worn as a scarf. It is amazingly beautiful! Thank you Elena!

This is a wonderful Heirloom to pass along
This is a beautiful work of art. To wear it is inspiring. To see it up close is amazing. A wonderful gift and heirloom to be able to pass on to my Grandchildren of the rich culture and talent of Africa. May success and happiness follow this wonderful artist.
