"I was born in Central Java in a town known for its batik art. This now inspires my designs. I'm the fifth of eleven children and I like traveling, swimming and making new things.
"After graduating from the university in Jogjakarta, I worked as a lecturer and teacher until 2010. My husband is a leather entrepreneur and also teaches classes in leather technology. Today, I work in leather as well.

"In my workshop, I am assisted by four artisans, some of whom have disabilities. I also give work to mothers who live nearby. We prepare and tan the leather ourselves.
"We went through a very difficult moment when my husband resigned from a job and we had to go back and start from zero. Thank God, we got through these problems.
"We have one daughter who makes us really happy. She makes my day and has made me more responsible for everything in life, especially for her future."
