Raphat Asigbey in Ghana designs a pair of masks depicting a male and female married couple. Ghanaian artisans hand carve the two masks from local sese wood before painting their hair a deep blue, which contrasts beautifully with the red of their faces. The artisan calls his creation Efo Kple, a Ghanaian Ewe phrase that means, "happy marriage."

Raphat is not only a master craftsman, but he is a very talented artist as well. I love the stool, and it will be handed down to generations after me. Thanks again, Raphat!
