This simple but striking mask is the original design of Ghana's Anna Yawson. The elongated monkey face is hand-carved from native sese wood and painted in black and bold orange. Adoo means "monkey" in a dialect spoken by the Ga tribe of Ghana.

My sister and her husband collect ethnic masks, and this one is unlike any they have. I liked that its so narrow, which should make it easy to find a place for it. Also, their other masks are mostly bare wood, and the color on this gives it more of a presence, even though its smaller than their other pieces.

I bought Asevi as a gift for a friends birthday and wanted to take a look at him myself first, and wow, this figurine is an absolute delight to behold. Gorgeous and bigger than I expected and so pleasing to the touch! I almost wanted to keep the figurine for myself but decided I would just get another one sometime later. I love everything about it, the shape and gesture of the body, the detailing, the color - every element comes together with striking personality. This cat may have left my hands but I think about him often.

This kitten box is amazing! It is beautifully weighted and sturdy, and exquisitely carved, and feels wonderfully smooth in my hands. I love the cats peaceful expression, with his watchful eyes, perfectly pointed cat ears, and sweeping white whiskers. The greenish and red base of the box is the perfect complement to the black top, and really makes the piece stand out. I love the quality of the box as well. The top fits the base perfectly -- sliding smoothly into place over the carved inner rim. And there is plenty of room inside to store special somethings. I have already ordered another piece from Anna, and cant wait for it to arrive!
