Monarch butterflies pose a challenge to all the intellectual minds around the world with this chess set handcrafted in Bali. Artisan Gusti Ngurah Semarajaya uses Keruing, crocodile and jempinis wood to create this precious game that includes a foldable board that also works as a storage box for the pieces, featuring little straps for a handy touch. As a magical accent, Gusti hand-paints colourful floral and butterfly motifs around the board, symbolizing change and hope.
