Absolutely beautiful addition to my room! The detailed craftsman is just amazing! I can feel the love put into making this gorgeous piece! I highly recommend shopping on Novica and giving a chance for artists in far away places to share their artistic gifts with the world. Everything is not only handmade but so well made too!
The piece is so convivence to have setting next to our couch in the family room. We are able to store our DVDs inside; and as needed, to set a book or laptop on for a moment; or to have an extra seat for crowding around the coffee table to play a board games.
Colorful & well made
This was perfect for what I needed - a low ottoman to get my feet off the drafty floor in my office. I love the way it looks - its a shame its hiding under my desk.

Bird-Themed Leather and Wood Ottoman from Peru, "World of Birds"$149.99

Fair Trade Embellished Ottoman Foot Stool from India, "Rajasthani Patchwork"$89.99
Women working in textile studios in Rajasthan embroider and hand-bead the vintage fabric that adorns this colorful footstool, designed by Ganpat Mehta. Removable acacia wood legs make it easy to store, but a piece this versatile is likely to always find a use. Try it as a footstool, low table, or even extra seating at a party. Each footstool uses upcycled textiles in blue-green tones, but the unique materials ensure that no two designs will be exactly alike.
Hand Made Leather Wood Footstool Vaulted Horse Seat, "Bird of Paradise"$327.99
With its novel form of a vaulting horse, this handsome stool is beautiful and original. Abel Ríos skillfully combines form and function, creating an unusual, handcrafted piece of furniture. The soft seat of glowing leather is hand-tooled with bird of paradise motifs and is mounted on a frame of mohena wood, similar in grain to mahogany.
