Wood is rich deep carmel brown and softly grained. Inlaid brass detail work is very pretty. Figuring stands stable in flat surface. Carving detail is not overdone and adds just the right amount of character. Currently the centerpiece of my new elephant figurine collection. Our thanks to the artist and Novica.
