Sweet, funny garland is just right
This is a great, long garland. Every piece looks sturdy and made to last. I love the mad little faces on the ghosts. The natural twine, the rustic finish on the ghosts, and the vanilla and brown tones all feel very fall. A great piece, well worth the price.
A Black Cat That Stops Everything Including Doors
I purchased this doorstop because both my present roommates are cats! I live with a tortoiseshell female and a tuxedo male. With my younger sister we have had two black ones. We have had other types but none so detailed, artistic or functional as the one I just purchased and is indeed a helpful kitten in black. His presence is keeping my bedroom door open as I think he likes to view what is going on in the rest of the house. He also gets a good many compliments on his appearance, functionality and quiet demeanor.
Beautiful, small jewelry box celebrating the Dead
I live close to the border with Mexico and have learned a lot about the culture since moving here decades ago. I always liked Halloween, but since becoming aware of the Day of the Dead I immediately took to it. I spend that day each year thinking about the people of significance in my life who are gone, and how one day I too will make that journey. I think the celebration is handled much, much differently in Mexico, but I am happy to have found this small momento to remind me of this important occasion every day. The craftsmanship is very well done. This is the second box I have purchased from this artist and I plan to add another soon. The compartments are not lined, but this can be added easily. Check dimensions so you are not disappointed with sizing. Also, note that the brightness of the colors can vary due to photography settings and computer monitor resolution.

Unique Decoupage Multicolor Wood Jewelry Box, "Celebrating Day of the Dead"$49.99
Grinning skeletons share a feast and a bottle of tequila as marigolds illuminate the scene. Ana Maria González celebrates the Day of the Dead with a colorful chest for personal treasures. In Mexico, the Day of the Dead is about celebrating the life of those who have passed away, rather than mourning their deaths. People visit graves with offerings, including altars such as the one depicted on one side of the jewelry box. It features a compartment beneath the lid and a drawer.
