Fall Balinese Ceramic Home Decor
Our two "Ocean Tides" bowls provide a beautiful splash of blue in our kitchen. Well made, they are very practical for displaying fruit and vegetables on the counter as well as good functional serving bowls. They complement our other Putu Oka Mahendra bowls, and we look forward to more offerings from this artist.
We really enjoy this beautiful teapot. The glazing and detail is unique and well-designed. We leave it sitting out as it is such a beautiful art object in itself.
I've placed this item on various tables and shelves in the house. It can go anywhere and I have a lot of decor and switch things around from time to time. I think it's finally found it's home, along with some other objets d'art, atop curio cabinet filled with ocean related items, large shells, etc. It does not need to be with other art of the same style. I have not yet used it as a teapot, I keep forgetting.
Oka Mahendra opened a showroom in memory of his mother... She was a woman full of energy and highly self-confident.
