We recently purchased Sierra Glyphs by Delfina Ruiz. The rug is beautifully designed and the craftsmanship is outstanding!
I purchased Irene Ruiz's "Fire in the Sky" rug several years ago. My rug is not thin and is placed in a high traffic section of my living room. I live in the Pacific Northwest and Irene's rug has stood up to dirt and grime from four sets of dirty boots on rainy days. The rainy season lasts a very long time in the Northwestern United States. All I need to do is vacuum the rug and the brilliant beautiful colors shine through. I would recommend this rug to anyone who wants to purchase beauty, quality and durability. The only maintenance I have done to the rug is retie the white fringe knots. I have had to retie the knotted fringe on any of the wool and or cotton/wool blend rugs I have purchased from other countries. That is not exceptional maintenance. Novica sells quality products at reasonable prices. Irene Ruiz weaves quality rugs.
This rug is a bright and happy addition to the hallway between my kitchen and main floor bathroom. It actually makes me smile and brightens my day each time I look at it. Simply beautiful!
"I especially like diamond motifs, as they represent a kind of maguey coat of arms seen at Monte Albán. They exemplify my Zapotec heritage."
