fall - wool - mexico
I love my new rug. The colors are vibrant. The quality and workmanship seem very good. Looks great in my log house.
We are so happy with this rug. The colors are vibrant, patterns perfectly aligned, and the weave is nice and tight. As is to be expected with all natural fibers, there is slight variation in the wool at times (as well as some tiny bits of plant material stuck into the wool here and there), but that adds to its unique beauty and reaffirms that this rug is a handmade treasure! Thank you for taking such care in your craft - it was worth the wait to receive such a beautiful piece of functional artwork.

I have become quite interested in pre hispanic MesoAmerica in the past few years and have been to Teotitlan de Valle, Alberto Ruiz's home town near Oaxaca. I found this item to be of excellent quality and to have several authentic design elements. I particularly like the "Greca" elements similar to those at Mitla. Plus - it looks great! Hope to find his shop his Feb when in Oaxaca.
