Fall Earthtone Rugs
I've purchased several Novice rugs in the past, but nothing this large. I'm wary of getting something this big without having seen it in person, but I took the leap and I'm happy. The main difference (to my eye) between the image online and the rug in person is that the image of the rug looks lighter, more yellow/orange. In person the overall effect is more autumnal, the browns are more dominant. Either way, it's a winner, big and bold and beautiful. I have a lot of wall space, so I hung it on the wall (velcro worked great), I also I couldn't bear the thought of walking on the light colors. It felt like a risky purchase at the time but now I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
I use this outstandingly beautiful rug as a runner on a a 1920s oak sideboard. Its warm glow lights up the entire room and complements the antique decor amazingly well. Incredibly well-made -- tightly woven, soft wool. I am so grateful to this artist, and will certainly get another rug for underfoot.
Guests and family have remarked about the striking design and high quality of weaving. I use this rug as a wall hanging. Couldn't have asked for better.
"This is the art my parents dedicated their lives to, and it's what I know best."
