Details

Queen mother of Ejisu during the Ashanti Empire, Yaa Asantewaa is an African historic figure synonymous with resistance against british colonialism. Ghanaian artisan Isaac Kamboli pays homage to Yaa Asantewaa with this wall sculpture, which is hand-carved from sese wood to depict the queen mother as she carries a jar of water atop her head. A rustic finish accentuates this cultural addition to your home decor.
