Delicately painted in radiant colour, this doll by Gusti Ngurah Semarajaya showcases the artisan's unique style. He carves the elegant head, hands and feet from crocodile wood and dresses the figure in handloomed ikat cloth. The word means "to knot" in the Malaysian language, and the threads are tie-dyed before weaving. The doll can be posed in a variety of positions.
