Wood Alebrije Cricket Sculpture in Blue from Mexico, "Blue Good Luck Cricket"
Drawing inspiration from everything that surrounds them, Mexican duo Pablo and Lucy Mendez work together to carry on the style of traditional alebrije sculptures. They give good luck wishes with this charming cricket, handcrafted of copal wood with various intricate parts that assemble together. The cricket is finished with a hand-painted design in tones of blue and purple. Small parts are separated for shipping to protect from breakage.

Delightful! This ladybug is a beloved addition to our growing family collection of Novica items. The website photos do not fully capture the exquisite beauty of extraordinary tiny hand-painted details. Hand carved and painted in rich colors, most surfaces are adorned with hundreds of tiny hand-painted silver dots. The underside is also carved and hand-painted, and includes the artists signatures.
