Signed Acrylic Portrait of African Men Blowing Horns, "Horn Blowers"
Two men, so alike that they could only be twins, blow on ceremonial horns in this original painting by Ghanaian artist Joseph A. Quaye. Horns are used among the Dagomba peoples of northern Ghana to invite the locals to the chief's palace. Quaye renders the painting like an informal sketch, using only sepia-toned paint to create the figures on a pink background.
