Delivery EstimateA tall, oblong face is depicted in this African mask from Ghana. Henry Acquah carves the mask by hand from local sese wood, adding embossed aluminum accents to give it a textured appearance. The mask is painted with colors of red and black for a striking two-tone design. The artisan names this mask after the Gelede performance, in which the Yoruba people dance while wearing various masks.
