Sankofa-Themed African Wood Mask from Ghana, "Sankofa Thoughts"
Signifying the importance of learning from the past, the traditional Adinkra symbol Sankofa depicts a bird reaching to grab an egg off its back. Ghanaian artisan Kwasi George creates this African mask, which depicts the Sankofa bird at the top, hand-carved from sese wood. This mask is detailed with etched patterns, as well as a finish in brown and red.

"Cherished Crow"
This is a gorgeously carved crow that is very special to me! The sculpture itself is actually bigger than I expected, and looks so wonderful next to our indoor plants. It feels indebted to nature and also a celebration of crows ? their wonderfully unique, crafty and inquisitive personalities, not to mention their beauty. Traditionally carved and expertly crafted, there are many details like the intricate feather carvings that do not interfere with how smooth and sleek the sculpture itself is. Thank you so much to Kwasi George for this beautiful gift.
