Our Lady of Almudena, patroness of Madrid (Spain), appears with the Christ Child in her arms in this beautifully detailed painting by Fernando Sayan Polo. The composition is a replica from the famed Cuzco School of religious portraiture, and includes Jesus and Mary, as well as children praying and cherubs. The Peruvian artist paints with oils, adding applications of bronze leaf to faithfully capture the rich religious artistry of Cuzco.

"Beautiful and Artistic."

This painting was bought for a House of Prayer in Ireland..Here is their review. This is a beautiful artistic piece and depicts the apparition as it was. "This is absolutely beautiful."

The face draws you in and the Andean style with the gold is absolutely beautiful. It is also at a great price. Framing is costing more than the icon. Highly recommended.
