Delivery EstimateSmall town church bells ringing out a joyous Christmas carol are called to mind by this set of six artisan crafted tin bells from Mexico's Aida and Cristino Lavariega of Oaxaca. This type of metalwork used to be seen only in churches in Oaxaca de Juarez, the capital of the state of Oaxaca, principally in the form of images of saints or of the Virgin Mary. Only in more recent decades did artisans expand into other areas such as decorative pieces. The hand painted set includes three pink bells and three blue bells, each adorned with a star and with bands of contrasting pink, green, and yellow. An excellent holiday tree decoration, the set would also look lovely hung from the mantelpiece or in an entryway.
