Mexican Bingo Decoupage on Wood Decorative Box, "Mexican Loteria"
Ana Maria Gonzalez finds inspiration in Mexico's lotería (bingo) for the design of this decorative box. Crafted by hand, the box is adorned with decoupage. The traditional lotería includes 54 different images and numbers, and it is believed to have been brought to Mexico in 1769, when it was reserved for the upper classes. Eventually it became widely played by everyone, and is now a trademark at traditional fairs as well as in homes and schools.

"Absolutely beautiful Jewelry box"
The construction and decoupage finish are wonderful. My only disappointment was the lack of finish inside. I was easily able to rectify that with two small pieces of cardboard, foam, and velvet. See photo. Now I am excited to gift it to my 8yr old Granddaughter for her birthday.

"Lovely Jewelry Box for Granddaughter"
The construction and decoupage finish are wonderful. My only disappointment was the lack of finish inside. I was easily able to rectify that with two small pieces of cardboard, foam, and velvet. See photo. Now I am excited to gift it to my 10yr old Granddaughter for her birthday.
