Working in acrylics and pencil on wood board, Humberto Sosa in Mexico creates this original artwork. The ready-to-hang composition is a rough sketch of la mano, a hand, one of the images in the traditional Mexican loteria game. Loteria is a game of chance, rather like bingo, that is played with cards. It originated in Italy in the 15th century and came to 'New Spain' (Mexico) in 1769.
