Leather Accent Purple Flowered Wallet from Guatemala, "Atitlan Flowers"

This beautiful wallet combines handwoven cotton fabric with leather. Lavish flowers in purple are embroidered by hand on the flap, while a striped fabric covers the back. Inside are three long pockets for papers and bills, three slots for cards and a space for photos protected with an acrylic pane. The long outer pocket on the back closes with a zipper. The wallet is crafted by members of Consorcio, a collective of 11 organizations for Guatemala's indigenous women to help them economically and combat violence against women.
